Indian Society for the Study of Xenobiotics (SSX - India) was established in 2016 as a non-profitable association, with the mission to develop and augment the knowledge of DMPK/ADMET science to the Indian scientific community. We conduct annual conferences, workshops and DMPK related short term courses.
Our conference is one of the premiere conferences organized in India specifically in the area of drug discovery and development. We have successfully conducted eight Annual International Conferences and one Asia-Pacific conference of the ISSX covering the areas of drug discovery and development. Eminent scientists from both academia & industry and students actively take part in our scientific deliberations. In addition to the annual conferences, SSX also takes initiatives with the help of academic institutions to augment capabilities of academics and students in our discipline. SSX is on a mission to take the annual conferences to different parts of our country to reach out to broader scientific community
In 2019, Society wanted to have a logo so that we can communicate our objectives visually, and also to have a distinct identity. We wanted it to be simple, meaningful and memorable. Thanks to Dr. Vinay H. K. for designing this logo, which was finalized based on the feedback from SSX organizing committee members.
Overall objective of SSX Society is to integrate the knowledge generated in different related disciplines like Pharmacokinetics, Biotransformation, Bioanalysis, Biology, Modelling, Pharmaceutics, Medicinal chemistry, Toxicology, Translational research etc., and utilize it to promote Human Health. Star indicates healing, which is restoration of health and vitality. Colors are also widely used to communicate a message. Parrot Green (inner circle upper) communicates Nature, in our perspective it can be referred to Science. It is the colour of Growth and Health. Light Blue (inner circle lower) communicates Deep; it is the shade of Sea and the Sky, Colour of Integrity. We need to deeply understand scientific disciplines and integrate it well to develop drugs for the benefit of human health.
